The experience includes:

• 3 nights stay at Torciano Boutique Hotel: the hotel is located in the countryside of the medieval town of San Gimignano. With just 5 minutes by car you can reach the historic center of the city.
• Trasportation round-trip from Florence (contact us if you want to start the tour from a different point).
• Transportation to and from on-site field trip visits.
• 1° day – Harvest stomping experience: each year from September through October, Tenuta Torciano comes alive with the excitement of harvest. You will take part of a special hands-on experience, with visit to the cellars and vineyards.
• 2° day – Authentic Italian pasta cooking class: immerse yourself in the authentic Italian experience of pasta making in San Gimignano with our hands-on cooking class. Led by a professional English-speaking chef, you’ll become a master in the art of pasta making.
• 3° day – Truffle hunting with expert guide and trained dogs: you will take part in the truffle hunt with our trained dogs, in the truffle forest of Tenuta Torciano where you will find precious black and white truffles in seasonal periods. 
• Wine and oil tasting at the Tenuta Torciano winery: during the activities in the cellar you will have the opportunity to taste the Tuscan wines and wines of our production.

San Gimignano is a small medieval village dating back to the 8th century. It is perhaps the most famous of the small towns in Tuscany, known above all for its 14 towers overlooking picturesque olive groves and vineyards. Travelers who want to imagine what Tuscany was like in the Middle Ages should definitely visit San Gimignano.

If you choose an accommodation based in San Gimignano or in the surrounding area, you can travel in many different directions and discover artistic, naturalistic and historical beauties of Tuscany that will enrich your itinerary.

Some of these places are also easily accessible by public transport and are not far away. Just half an hour by car to your point of stay you will find the most renowned cities of Tuscany, such as Siena and Florence.

A “vendemmia” (Italian for grape harvest) is one of the most fascinating experiences you can enjoy in Tuscany during the harvest season. It is a wonderful way to learn a lot about the local wine and food traditions but also about the local culture. Those who tried it report that the atmosphere in a working winery is something definitely unique!

Day activities (2 hours and half):

• Visit of vineyards and wine cellar and field trip visits

• Harvest lesson with winemaker following grom stamping grapes. And for some feets-on fun, plunge into our grape stomp experience, where you can relish the unique sensation of stomping grapes beneath your feet and take home a commemorative wine moment

• A gourmet lunch and full wine tasting in the vineyards and nature, with a beautiful view of the Tuscan countryside

• Lessons from top instructors (our staff includes master sommeliers, masters of wine, winemakers, Italian wine professionals)

The lunch includes:

• Appetizers: Tuscan cheeses and salami, bruschetta

• First course: truffle lasagna and Tuscan ribollita

• Second course: roasted meat with vegetable side dish

• Dessert: cantuccini biscuits with dessert wine

Immerse yourself in a pasta-making class and learn the secrets of the region’s most famous pasta dishes, then taste the fruits of your labor accompanied by a tasting of local wines. Our class begins with a focus on selecting the finest ingredients, including the right type of flour, and learning tips and tricks for a successful pasta dough. You’ll learn how to knead, roll, and cut pasta shapes such as tagliatelle, tagliolini, and even create filled pasta like ravioli.

Day activities (3 hours and half):

• Making of three different kinds of homemade pasta (tagliatelle, pici, ravioli)
  Where the chef will explain you the most technical aspects to prepare the pasta, so that you will be able to make your own pasta, directly in your kitchen.

• Lunch or dinner with menu of the recipes you saw during the course but cooked by our chefs.

• Full wine tasting and olive oil and balsamic vinegar tasting.

The meal includes:

• Appetizers: Tuscan cheeses and salami, bruschetta

• Main course: The three types of pasta you cooked during the course but cooked by our chefs(tagliatelle, pici, ravioli)

• Dessert: cantuccini biscuits with dessert wine

You will take part in the truffle hunt with our trained dogs, in the truffle forest of Tenuta Torciano, where you will find precious black and white truffles in seasonal periods. During the hunt, you will be guided by our expert and you will learn to identify the different species of trees and the ideal habitat for truffle growth.
Be ready to hike through the pristine forest as the dogs search to uncover the truffles straight from the earth!

Day activities (3 hours):

• Lesson on how to recognize and search for Truffle with an English speaking translator

• 1 hour of truffle hunting with professional guide that will teach you the technical informations about truffle. You will learn why they are fondamentals in the slow-food movments and how to use and keep them.

• Lunch with local products

• Wine tasting and olive oil and balsamic vinegar tasting.
