The Winery & The Vineyards

The magical atmosphere of the winery accompanies you during lunch together with the flavor of our wines that distinguish Tenuta Torciano from other wineries. In spring, summer and autumn, savor a lunch accompanied by distinct wines surrounded by the magic of the Tuscan hills, vineyards, olive groves and trees, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes.

This new spiral vineyard is capable of combining production with aesthetics and tradition, which has become an attraction for the most “obsessed with discovery”. It is a harmonious succession of rows of vines arranged in a circle spiral, in a movement interspersed with a central stone island, as a panoramic point to enjoy this spectacle of nature.

In particular, you can appreciate the ancient Vernaccia di San Gimignano vineyard, still planted under the management of Romano Giachi in 1996, from which the name of the homonymous wine “Poggioaicieli” originates, one of the most famous wines of the area; it is one of the vineyards dedicated to the Vernaccia di San Gimignano grape with an exposure facing South and South East. Do not miss a visit to the Sangiovese vineyard.

Genuine and Fresh Products

The taste of fresh and homemade products, row after row, in the vegetable garden near the restaurant. Like many successful orchards and orchards, this one was born out of necessity. For years, the countryside restaurant of Tenuta Torciano began to earn enthusiastic reviews for its cuisine.
Pierluigi with his family believed in incorporating fresh local vegetables into their preparations and to bring their guests to visit the garden, teach the cultivation techniques, pick them directly and bring them to the plate. There are tall branches of tomatoes, tall bright peas that climb enthusiastically on them. There are eggplant beds with leathery leaves so green that they are almost purple. And lettuces, in more shapes, textures and shades of green and red than the owners have ever imagined. Everything is clean and tidy like an exhibition garden. But in reality this is a well organized cellar, which supplies most of the vegetables to a kitchen that feeds 2000 people per week, from March to November and this can be the final test of a very productive garden.
